The Graduation of a Lifetime!
Because of a clerical error, in 1959, Phi Chi Brother Frank Schultz never had the personal pleasure to ‘walk acrossthe stage’ for his college graduation. His 50 year wait was rewarded with sustained applause from 600 graduating seniors of the UW-Whitewater, Class of 2009. With his wife Rose, son Frank, daughter Christine, and grandson’s Nicholas and Hunter, joining the ranks of attendees, he finished the journey that he started in 1955. Though bittersweet, he can look back on the successful life his college career provided; something the graduates of 2009 must still attain. Alumni Brothers from Phi Chi Epsilon, as well as, one current graduating member, joined their Brother Frank for a celebratory lunch and visit at Randy’s Fun and Hunt Pub, Whitewater. Frank’s fame is far reaching with articles in many of the regional publications, culminating with the article by Jim Stingl of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, dated December 20, 2009.
